22 Mar Five Months Left
Chris and I are so excited to start writing about our wedding plans and life as we prepare to get married. We just hit the five month mark on Sunday! Time is flying by.
I tried on my dress for the first time Sunday as well. It’s just as great as I remembered, however we ended up sending it back to have one custom made in my size. It was too big and just hung on me – which was very frustrating because I’m not sure why they measured me. We came to find out that an exchange would be easy, but they didn’t make them in my size (hence the “custom”). It will now be here the first week of July (when I’ll go in for my second first fitting) and the alterations will be done 15 days before the wedding. Things are certainly going to be getting crazier as it gets closer.
Chris has been applying for jobs all over the country it seems and we have no idea where we’ll be come this summer. I, on the other hand, have been gracefully procrastinating any legitimate search for jobs. I’d love to go back to Nashville, but truth be told, it’s really not as easy as it looks to finish school (part-time), look for a current job, pretend to look for a “big girl job” and plan a wedding at the same time. And, since we’re being honest, that is not at all the order in which those things take precedence.
Filming is done for our save the dates and I’m so excited to get it out for you to see. Also, we have (finally) asked everyone in our wedding party to stand up with us on that day. It’s been very moving to see the ways in which God has placed people in our lives who have supported us. It was by no means easy to narrow down the numerous friendships we’ve been graced with, but there are a few people that have been with us from the beginning of our relationship and have watched us grow, sat with us when we struggled, and pushed us when we need it. It will be a joy to have these people stand with us and continue to be a support system for us as we grow old.
I’m currently feeling very blessed and can only imagine it to get better as we get closer.
